The Women’s Health Society is a vibrant and inclusive community focused on raising awareness of women’s health and the inequalities faced by women and gender minorities in the healthcare system. Our society is dedicated to empowering all students to advocate for themselves in healthcare settings and highlighting women’s health issues that are too often overlooked by broader society. We organise a variety of social and educational events for students and we run charity fundraisers for charities that are fighting for equal access to healthcare for women and gender minorities. Last year, our events included a pub quiz, a sustainable period product workshop, and a seminar on FGM run by a guest speaker from AkiDwA! We welcome all students who are passionate about promoting gender equality in healthcare, whether you identify with women’s health or not!
