Trinity Public Health Society (PHS)
The Trinity Public Health Society (PHS) aims to engage the TCD community in public health discourse in order to foster an interest in public health, provide tools, resources, and a platform for discussions around public health in all its forms. Public health plays a critical role in keeping our global communities health, safe, and thriving. It is concerned with protecting the health of populations and this means more than just access to health care. Our society aims to explore the interconnected web of factors that have a direct impact on people. This includes (but not limited to) racial inequities, housing insecurity, gender identify, access to education, food insecurity, mental health, infectious disease, income inequality, and access to green space. Public health is centred around advocacy and is at the intersection of health and social justice.
